Appointments

A scheduled appointment is necessary at all times. From your consultation to your final pick up, your time is important to us. For those who have difficult schedules, please communicate this to us so that we can work out something that will be helpful to you and your family in your portrait process. Service to our clients is very important to us. Communication is the key element to making our service the best it can be.

Consultations

This is the key element to creating a Penland Portrait. During your private complimentary design session you will discuss with our photographers the important design elements for your portrait. Clothing, location, backgrounds, mood and the feel of the portrait as well as your desires for use and where the portrait will be displayed in your home or office will be discussed. The way the final portrait will be displayed has great influence on the style and medium of which your portrait will be created.

Session Times

A pre-paid retainer is required to secure any portrait session. We will not schedule an appointment without payment of your retainer.

About your Viewing

Children, Family and Portrait sessions will be viewed as a slide show. Depending on the style of portraits you have had created, this can evoke all sorts of emotions from laughter to tears. We hope you enjoy this as much as we do. There is quite a bit of creative love that goes into each of our slide shows and it is best that all family members that will be involved in the decision making be present at the scheduled viewing. There will be an additional charge for another appointment time if you do not plan for all family members to attend one showing. In some instances where we find it very difficult to accommodate a time for a viewing, we can provide a home slide show (additional charge may apply), this option comes with a 3 to 5 day expiration date and is not usable after the agreed time. This option must be requested prior to scheduling a viewing.

High School Seniors - Will be provided with a very cool contact proof book, 50% of minimum order (determined by session size) is required to check out proof book. Otherwise appointment to view proof book in studio can be scheduled.

Payments

50% of your order must be paid for at the time it is placed. Your balance will be due upon completion of delivery of your finished portraits. Complete orders are to be picked up within 30 days notice of completion or a charge of 2% per month will be added at an annual rate of 24%.
